Leo Ray was born in 1950, in Vilnius, Lithuania and in 1991 moved to Tel Aviv, Israel. Ray graduated Vilnius University and Vilnius Academy of Arts and Master at CAN New Artists Collegium. Ray creates painting, graphics, small-scale sculpture and formed a unique colorful visual language of boldness and freedom. His attitude towards color is the essence of painting, Ray succeeds in creating free improvisation in color to produce a combination of depth and layers that converse with a renewed reality that designs an entrance path for the viewer into himself. Ray has held solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Israel and worldwide.
