Ilan Dotan is an Israeli painter known for his tender paintings. Ilan (Tel Aviv, born 1975) studied painting under Israeli painter Jan Rauchwerger and later at the New York Studio school (1999 - 2001), after his studies, Ilan held a studio in New York until 2007. Coming back to Israel, Ilan settles in Tel Aviv, where he works at his studio in the south of the city and exhibits occasionally.

Ilan uses classic traditional methods (mainly oil and pastel colours) to present contemporary sceneries, encounters or whatever catches his sensitive heart's attention.
